Birth of Falco, founder of Damanhur

Oberto Airaudi, the visionary founder and spiritual guide of Damanhur, known as Falco Tarassaco, is born in the town of Balangero, near Turin, about forty kilometers from where he would later establish Damanhur. His childhood and awakening of consciousness are documented in two books: Stories of an Alchemist and The Poetry of my Consciousness.

Opening of the ‘Horus Center’ in Tourin

The Horus Center, dedicated to parapsychological and esoteric research aimed at exploring human potential, opens its doors in Turin. Themes such as astral travel, telekinesis, dreams, the power of thought, and communication with the plant world are explored through group experiments. Falco, along with his friends spearheading this endeavor would soon become the first Damanhurians.

Creation of the first Self

Falco introduces the first Selfica, an advanced energy technology developed over millennia. Selfica serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds, offering tools for personal empowerment, healing, and connection with higher dimensions of consciousness. Falco rediscovered and adapted Selfica, pursuing this art-science in innovative ways, including Selfica painting.

The search for the Synchronic lines

Falco and the early Damanhurians embark on global expeditions to locate the Synchronic Lines, the planet’s energy pathways. Their quest leads them to ancient sacred sites across continents as they search for the ideal location to establish a new society.

Foundation of the first Community in Valchiusella

After years of research, the ideal location for building the first community is found surprisingly close to their starting point: Valchiusella, Italy. Falco and his companions purchase their first land here, marking a crucial moment in their journey. This decision to embrace community life becomes a fundamental element for the awakening of human potential.

Beginning of the excavation of the Temples of Humankind

Excavations of the Temples of Humankind commence. On a warm summer night in August, while conversing with friends around a fire, Falco sees a shooting star, interpreting it as the signal to begin digging. This marks the start of the Temples of Humankind, now a magnificent work of art, hand-carved into the heart of a mountain. The Temples serve as a vessel of devotion and pure ideals, dedicated to awakening the Divine within every human being. For the first 14 years, the excavation was conducted in secret.

First Constitution

The first Constitution of Damanhur is established, outlining the values and rules that govern the life and organization of the community. Key principles include thinking well of others, continuous internal transformation, solidarity and respect among citizens, and care for the environment and all forms of life. Designed to evolve over time, the Constitution of Damanhur anticipates that as individual awareness grows, the need for laws and regulations will diminish.

Birth of the Game of Life, the great Journey

The Game of Life movement is launched, initiating an experiential journey aimed at fostering change, creativity, and humor within Damanhur’s community. Through dynamic challenges and the integration of novel elements, the movement promotes flexibility and development within the social fabric of Damanhur.
It was born with the intention of facilitating the continuous transformation of Damanhur and every individual Damanhurian with humor and lightness.

Through the Game of Life, the entire social structure undergoes renewal, creating conditions for increased flexibility through new logic that ensures the ongoing development of Damanhur and the seamless integration of new citizens.

The ‘Battle of the Art”

The first Battle of Art unfolds, marking the genesis of a movement centered on creative and constructive expression, which harnesses artistic challenge as a catalyst for spiritual and social transformation. Divided into six teams, Damanhurians engage in a spirited competition aimed at producing the most aesthetically captivating works to embellish the territory. This endeavor gives rise to architectural marvels, vibrant wall paintings, regenerated natural spaces, whimsical fountains, symbolic graffiti, and a myriad of other creations. Subsequently, Art Battles became a hallmark tool for Damanhurians, blending positive competition with humor and collective betterment.

Opening of the Temples of Humankind

The world learns of the existence of the Temples of Humankind as a report to the Prosecutor’s Office, submitted by a group of former Damanhur members, unveils their existence, previously shrouded in secrecy. One summer morning, the Public Prosecutor, accompanied by 60 carabinieri, arrives in Damanhur to locate the Temples. Despite initial unsuccessful searches, Falco decides to reveal the underground structure. Following the visit, the Prosecutor assumes legal custody of the work, while entrusting Damanhurians with its ongoing maintenance, recognizing its significant artistic and devotional value. Thus initiates a protracted procedure to secure and legalize the structure, a task occupying Damanhurians for several years to come.

Birth of the first european Center in Berlin

The first Damanhur center in Europe opens in Berlin, marking the beginning of a new phase in the international diffusion of Damanhur’s ideas and practices. This milestone enables the spiritual message of Falco and the community’s inspired experiences to spread globally, reaching distant locations including Australia, Japan, and the USA.

Opening of the Temples

The Temples of Humankind are opened to the world. After a series of prolonged political, judicial, and administrative battles, the Temples are returned to the Damanhurians, allowing them to welcome visitors from around the globe.

Birth of Tecnarcato

Tecnarcato is introduced, marking the inception of a path dedicated to discovery and personal transformation. This program equips individuals with tools to explore and integrate various aspects of their nature and personal history, thereby helping them to develop their potential. While Tecnarcato offers a broad array of tools for personal growth, it allows ample room for individual choice, enabling each Damanhurian to select the tools that best suit their needs and preferences. One of the most distinctive tools is Individual Law, where individuals, through self-reflection and feedback from others, identify a specific behavior to modify or enhance for their personal development.

Opening of DamanhurCrea

A former Olivetti factory in the town of Vidracco is acquired. The following year, Damanhur inaugurates Damanhur Crea, a large multifunctional center open to the public, spanning over four thousand square meters. Damanhur Crea hosts a wide array of services and facilities, including a conference hall, a small supermarket, a café, green building sectors, a clinic, beauty and wellness services, and art laboratories. This versatile center provides workshop facilities and meeting spaces, fostering community engagement and development.

Passing of Falco

The passing of Falco, the founder and spiritual guide of Damanhur, occurs on June 23, the day of the Summer Solstice. After a brief illness, Falco departs in great serenity. In the preceding three months, he meets with the Damanhurians, provides guidance for the “after,” and appoints the “Sages” to assume some of his functions and safeguard the community’s spiritual heritage.

Arrival of the first letters of Falco, the Missions

Publication of Falco’s posthumous letters. In the autumn, following his instructions, the Damanhurians discover that Falco left them a comprehensive series of instructions outlining missions to spread his teachings globally. For over ten years, these instructions and motivational messages have been regularly arriving in the form of “letters,” delivered by a trusted individual at predetermined times. These letters continue to guide and inspire the community in their ongoing endeavors.

Citizenship reform and 11th Constitution

Damanhur introduces ‘Vajne Citizenship’, offering all initiates of the School of MeditAction worldwide the opportunity to become Damanhurian citizens. This year also sees the definition of the eleventh edition of the Constitution, marking a significant step forward in Damanhur’s expansion and growth. This new Constitution strengthens ties with other communities and cultures, furthering Damanhur’s mission of unity and spiritual development.

Orovelj, first damanhurian Community in Japan

Orovelj, the first community established outside of Damanhur’s Italian birthplace, is founded near Osaka, Japan. Damanhur has been active in Japan since the 2000s, promoting various activities and establishing centers. This new community marks a significant milestone in Damanhur’s global expansion.

Damanhur celebrates its fiftieth anniversary! This milestone marks half a century of resilience, innovation, and lasting impact on the world. Throughout the year, Damanhur shares its vision and experiences in community building and connecting people within a synergistic network. The community highlights the fundamental values of sharing and solidarity, demonstrating how joyful individuals can create a harmonious and supportive society.
