Pathway to Becoming a Citizen of Damanhur
Are you wondering how to join Damanhur?
Becoming a citizen means choosing to be part of the ongoing creation of a new societal model, where principles and ideals become tangible realities and lived experiences. This goal is achieved through a path of active participation and sharing, accompanied by a study program.
The citizenships are based on
2 distinct decisions:

The choice to follow an Initiatic Path of the Damanhur School of MeditAction, which represents a life path on both philosophical and practical levels, and is based on the foundation of the knowledge introduced by Falco Tarassaco, the Founder and Spiritual Guide of Damanhur.

The choice of Community Life, which involves becoming a resident in one of the communities of Damanhur.
Types of Damanhurian Citizenship
There are currently three types of citizenships, allowing anyone seeking to deepen their connection with our reality to find the one that resonates most with their personal life choices.
Community
- becoming an Initiate of Damanhur School of MeditAction’s Initiation Path, and
- residing in one of the Damanhur communities, or
- actively participating in strategic projects.
Vajne
- becoming an Initiate of Damanhur School of MeditAction’s Initiation Path, while residing anywhere around the world (ie. without community life requirement)
Social
- choosing to join community life as a resident member in one of the Damanhur nuclei or communities without becoming an Initiate of the School of MeditAction
Citizenship Program
The Citizenship Program is divided into Practice and Theory, with the purpose of immersing you in an integrated, vivid, and practical experience of what it truly means to become a Damanhurian. This helps you understand and discover the resonance with our mission, objectives, and values. Although the program structure varies depending on the type of citizenship chosen, here is a general overview.
The program duration varies according to your individual study pace and can last anywhere from six to a maximum of eighteen months.
The program includes:
1. Theory
The theoretical component consists of 42 online video lessons, typically followed on a weekly basis, and is coordinated by the Damanhurian School of Citizenship. You will be accompanied by a dedicated tutor throughout the process, who will assist with any questions and ensure a smooth introduction into our reality.

2. Practice
If you wish to become a resident within a Damanhurian community, undergoing practical training within the community context is part of your program.
This involves living within one of the Damanhur communities.
On this practical and often intensely personal journey, you will be closely accompanied by a tutor (one of the family members), ensuring harmonious integration into the fabric of community life.
During this period, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in community life, taking on practical roles shared with other family members, including meeting participation, preparing meals, cleaning, contributing to works on the territory, and much more.
3. Your Choice
Upon completing the trial period, if you feel reassured that this path aligns with your personal growth and evolution, you may choose to become a citizen.
Becoming a Damanhurian Citizen means joining a community and actively contributing to building a reality based on principles of solidarity, sharing, and awakened spiritual growth.
