An article on Damanhur was published in an Estonian magazine called ÜKS, which means 'One,' written by Kadri Allikmäe. Kadri came to visit Damanhur for the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) Europe conference in July of 2010, and returned in January to research the Damanhurian education system, particularly the kindergarten, for her university thesis.
In the article, written in Estonian, Kadri describes education at Damanhur, citing Caribù, one of the kindergarten teachers, who says, "The most important thing for a teacher to do is to be himself or herself. Only then can he or she be a source of inspiration for children." Kadri also describes her experiences in the Temples of Humankind, at the Oracle Rite, and Ecstatic Dance, as well as the warmth of the nucleos and the value of simplcity of community life and sharing. She also touches upon the Synchronic Lines and synchronicity, and the concept of continuous change as a pathway to happiness, moving through our shadow selves, a lesson learned at Damanhur.
